\r\n that
\r\n \tnames
\r\n a file of type directory,
\r\n \tls
\r\n\t displays
\r\n        the names
\r\n     of files contained
\r\n  within
\r\n that directory,
\r\n           as well as
\r\n    any requested,
\r\n  asso-ciated
\r\ninformation.
\r\n
\r\nIf no
\r\n     operands
\r\n  are given,
\r\n      the contents
\r\n of
\r\n the current directory
\r\n      are
\r\ndisplayed.
\r\n If more than
\r\n         one
\r\n     operand is given,
\r\n  non-directory operands are displayed
\r\n       first;
\r\n directory
\r\n        and
\r\n non-directory operands
\r\n    are sorted
\r\n                   separately
\r\n and in lexicographical order.
\r\n  By default,
\r\n  ls
\r\n     lists one entry per line
\r\n  to standard output;
\r\nthe exceptions
\r\n are to
\r\n terminals or when the -C option
\r\n is specified.
\r\n
\r\nFile information
\r\n     is displayed
\r\n with one or more s
\r\n        separating the
\r\n information 
\r\n     associated with the 
\r\n    -i, 
\r\n    -s, and 
\r\n    -I options. 
\r\n If the -I option
\r\nis given, 
\r\n  the following information 
\r\n     is displayed 
\r\nfor each file: 
\r\n    file mode,
\r\n    number of links, 
\r\n    owner name, 
\r\n    group name, 
\r\n    number of bytes in the file,
\r\n    abbreviated month, 
\r\n    day-of-month file was last modified, 
\r\n    hour file last modified, 
\r\n    minute file last modified, 
\r\n    and the pathname.
\r\n
\r\n       In addition, for
\r\neach directory 
\r\n     whose contents are 
\r\n displayed, 
\r\n  the total number of 
\r\n    512-byte
\r\nblocks 
\r\n   used 
\r\n       by the 
\r\n  files in the directory
